This is very hard to find piece, especially for its age and early design. This one goes back to the early days when not even the Guardian Angel flash was issued and Pararescuemen used to wear the Parachutist Badge in their berets.

USAF ARRS / HQ STAN/EVAL Patch Set
USAF Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service / Headquarters Standardization & Evaluation Patch Set.
This beautiful vintage set belonged to the famous Bill Zurick collection like many other patches in the PJ-Pararescue Collection. It's a very hard to find set with a few variations from the typical ARRS patches from that era. Bill Zurick was one of the most important USAF collectors in history that collected around 14.000 patches over his 50 years collecting and these patches were kindly donated by James Flaviani to the collection.

USAF 23rd FG / Flying Tigers Patch

The 23d Fighter Group (23 FG) is a United States Air Force unit. It is assigned to the 23d Wing and stationed at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. The 23d Fighter Group was established in World War II as the 23d Pursuit Group of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF). Redesignated the 23d Fighter Group before its activation, the group was formed in China on 4 July 1942, as a component of the China Air Task Force and received a small cadre of volunteer personnel from the simultaneously disbanded 1st American Volunteer Group (AVG) – the "Flying Tigers" of the Chinese Air Force.
To carry on the traditions and commemorate the history of the AVG, aircraft of the USAF 23d Fighter Group carry the same "Shark Teeth" nose art of the AVG's Curtiss P-40 Warhawks, along with the "FT" (Flying Tiger) tail code. The 23d Fighter Group's aircraft is the only United States Air Force aircraft currently authorized to carry this distinctive and historical aircraft marking.
Currently based at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, the group is assigned as one of two operations groups of the 23d Wing at Moody. Both organizations serve as part of the Ninth Air Force and Air Combat Command. The 23d Fighter Group's primary missions are forward air control, close air support, air interdiction and CSAR (Combat Search & Rescue Operations).
The group has two operational squadrons assigned: the 74th and the 75th Fighter Squadrons both flying A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft.

USAF 56th RQS/48th FW / Guardian Angel Morale Patch
USAF 56th Rescue Squadron/48th Fighter Wing / RAF Lakenheath / Guardian Angel / "Keep Calm and Save Lives" Morale Patch. Circa 2016.
The 48 FW is the only F-15 wing based in Europe and consists of both F-15C/D Eagle and F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft as well as a Rescue Squadron.
The 48 FW was given the name "Statue of Liberty Wing" on 4 July 1954 and remains the only U.S. Air Force unit with both a name and a numerical designation. The Liberty Wing has nearly 5,700 active-duty military members, 2,000 British and U.S. civilians, and includes a geographically separated unit at nearby RAF Feltwell. In addition to supporting two squadrons of F-15E Strike Eagle and one squadron of F-15C Eagle fighter aircraft, the Liberty Wing is responsible for the 56th Rescue Squadron's HH-60G Pave Hawk Combat Search and Rescue helicopters.

USAF 106th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Group / New York Air National Guard / Sea Search / International Royal Air Tattoo 1981 Patch
The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) is the world's largest military air show, held annually over the third weekend in July, usually at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, England in support of The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust. The show typically attracts a total of 150,000 to 160,000 spectators over the weekend. Unfortunately this patch shows aging and has some damage, but still reflects pretty much the original image.
